Malaysian Gods is the latest film by the King of banned-films, Amir Muhammad who always has unique point of views on politics. They are mostly witty and sharp. SHARP as in the OUCH kind of sharp!In conjunction with 10 years anniversary of Anwar Ibrahim being arrested for leading the REFORMASI, we are launching a special limited screening for Malaysian Gods on the 20th September 2008.

Synopsis:
Exactly 10 years ago – 20 September 1998 – a massive demonstration was held in Kuala Lumpur. It was led by the nation's former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who would then get arrested a few hours later. MALAYSIAN GODS is a journey on foot through the city of Kuala Lumpur. It takes you along the same path that a certain, unnamed demonstrator takes: from the National Mosque to the Putra World Trade Centre. He is making this recording for a friend who has not been back to Malaysia since that fateful day. He ruminates about the buildings and places he passes by, and talks about how the city has changed, or otherwise. Even though rain starts to fall, he will continue on his journey; it is as if he is driven by an impulse stronger than mere nostalgia.
